JOURNAL OF FETAL ALCOHOL SPECTRUM RISK AND PREVENTION
About the Journal
The Journal of Fetal Alcohol Spectrum Risk and Prevention (JFASRP) strives to serve as an international resource for scientific publications on the epidemiology, neurobiology, psychology and sociology of fetal alcohol toxicity. A strong emphasis would be placed on prevention and risk reduction. It is the Journal’s mission to publish novel research in our topic of interest, with no limitation to research methodology: animal and human tissue laboratory research is welcome, as well as clinical studies, meta-analyses and qualitative research.
The journal is a peer review venue, with an editorial board well versed in FAS research. We would identify two reviewers per manuscript and upon positive appraisal, have the Editor decide on publication. This is to ensure quality of published research and its value to the FAS research community as well as to obstetricians and pediatricians worldwide.
The Article Processing Charge for the Journal of Fetal Alcohol Spectrum Risk and Prevention is US $495. APCs are per article and billed upon acceptance of an article, after it has successfully passed the peer review process. There are no additional charges based on color, length, figures, or other elements. Letters to the Editor and small commentaries (up to 250 words), and select invited articles are not charged an APC.
An author’s ability to pay APCs is not a consideration in the decision of whether to publish. Authors living in one of the United Nations' list of Least Developed Countries may request a fee waiver. Authors living in countries not considered "least developed" who do not have the ability to pay the APC's may be eligible for a reduced rate. Please contact the publisher directly at firstname.lastname@example.org.
